Jairo Blanco, our International Sales Manager / Gerente de Ventas Internacionales, made a special trip to the Specialty Coffee Expo 2019 (SCE 2019) in Boston over the weekend of 12-14 April 2019. The SCE 2019 show attracted a record-breaking ~14,000 attendees and exhibitors, all of whom descended upon “Bah-stin” to see and taste the latest and greatest in the coffee business. Señor Blanco efficiently made the rounds, meeting new folks from around the world and visiting with some Logical Machines customers and advocates.

Logical Machines attending the SCE 2019 show in Boston serves multiple purposes:

First and foremost, we're a small business that has as its focus a desire to help small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Along with SMBs being the backbone of our purpose and existence, we are advocates for sustainability.

Sustainability can be in the form of, e.g., a coffee grower/roaster supporting sustainable ecological efforts. It can also include that same grower/roaster giving back to their surrounding community along the lines of educational, healthcare, and nutritional aspects; locally, regionally and/or globally. The key element is giving back to one's community.

That's why, for Logical Machines, the SCE 2019 show is much more than just us selling coffee growers/roasters weigh+fill scale systems. We are advocates for fair trade and small-scale producers & workers organizations along with the SMBs; their workers; their workers' families; and the world beyond that sphere of local influence. Think Globally. Act Locally. Sustain Perpetually.

It's just logical.
